1. Overview
Lersso is a private, on-device-first visual notebook for organizing real-world information into Records. A Record may contain photos, videos, voice recordings, text notes, recognized text, transcripts, translations, summaries, action items, locations, tags, collections, and other information added or generated by the user.
Lersso does not require a separate Lersso account. We do not operate an advertising network, analytics platform, or external AI server.
2. Information stored on your device
By default, Lersso stores your Records and related content locally on your device. This may include Record titles, dates, tags, favorites, collections, text notes, photos, videos, voice recordings, locations you choose to add, OCR text, transcripts, translations, summaries, action items, questions and answers, local search indexes, thumbnails, diagnostics, and application preferences.
Local indexes, thumbnails, and other derived indexes can be rebuilt from your original Records and are not the authoritative copy of your content.
3. Private iCloud synchronization
When Private iCloud Sync is available and enabled, Lersso may store and synchronize your Records through Apple CloudKit using the private database associated with your Apple Account. Synced information can include original media, notes, metadata, locations, derived content, and information required to synchronize changes and deletions.
This information is used only for application functionality, including synchronization, restoration, and access on your Apple devices. Lersso does not use iCloud content for advertising, behavioral profiling, or tracking, and does not sell personal information. Private CloudKit content is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Lersso does not operate a separate server that receives a copy of your synchronized Library.
Turning off synchronization does not necessarily delete information already stored in iCloud. You can manage application data stored in iCloud through your Apple Account and device settings.
4. Apple frameworks and on-device processing
Vision and VisionKit. Apple Vision technologies recognize text in selected images. OCR is performed on the device.
Foundation Models and Apple Intelligence. On supported devices, Lersso may use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models for summaries, action items, and grounded answers based on selected Record content. Availability depends on device, operating system, language, settings, and model availability. Lersso does not send this content to an external Lersso AI server.
Translation. Apple Translation technologies translate supported text when required language models are available.
Speech Recognition. Apple Speech technologies provide dictation and transcription. Where supported, recognition may occur on-device. Depending on the device, language, operating system, and Apple service availability, audio may be processed by Apple’s speech recognition services.
Calendar and Reminders. When you explicitly create an event or reminder, selected Record information is sent through EventKit. The resulting item is then controlled by Calendar or Reminders and connected accounts.
Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, and StoreKit. App Intents and Spotlight expose supported actions and locally indexed Records to Apple system features. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit; Lersso does not receive or store complete payment card information.
5. Permissions
Lersso may request Camera, Microphone, Speech Recognition, Location, Calendar, or Reminders access only when needed for a feature you choose. Location is not continuously tracked. Lersso normally uses Apple’s system photo picker for selected media rather than unrestricted photo-library access. Permissions can be changed in device Settings.
6. Exports and sharing
You can export or share Records as PDF reports, original files, ZIP archives, or Complete Packages. Exporting is user initiated. A copy sent to Files, Mail, Messages, AirDrop, another application, or another service is controlled by that destination. You are responsible for reviewing content before sharing it.
7. Diagnostics and support
Local diagnostic information is not automatically transmitted. It may be cleared by you and is shared with us only when you explicitly send it. If you contact support, we may receive your email address, message, diagnostic attachment, device or application information, and anything else you voluntarily provide. We use it only to investigate and respond to your request, not for advertising or tracking.
Please do not send sensitive photos, recordings, documents, passwords, payment information, or confidential Record content unless necessary to resolve the request.
8. Subscriptions and derived content
Lersso Pro controls creation of new advanced results, including transcripts, translations, recognized text, summaries, action items, and Ask answers. Results already created remain available if a subscription expires or is cancelled. Subscription status is verified through Apple StoreKit.
9. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information or share it with advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party analytics providers. Apple may process information where required to provide iCloud, StoreKit, Speech Recognition, Translation, Calendar, Reminders, Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, and other operating-system functionality. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or valid legal process.
10. Data retention and deletion
Local Records remain until you delete them, delete application data, or uninstall Lersso. Synced Records remain in private iCloud storage until removed through Lersso, your Apple Account settings, or Apple’s policies. Deleting a Record schedules deletion of its synchronized CloudKit copy where sync is available. Exported files must be deleted separately.
Support correspondence may be retained as reasonably necessary to investigate requests, maintain support history, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. You may request its deletion by contacting us.
11. Security
Lersso uses Apple platform security, application sandboxing, and Private CloudKit. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, Apple Account, exports, and backups.
12. Children
Lersso is not specifically directed to children below the minimum consent age under applicable law. We do not knowingly operate advertising, behavioral tracking, or profiling directed at children. Contact us if a child submitted support information without appropriate authorization.
13. International use
Apple services and application functionality may vary by country, region, language, device, and operating-system version. Information may be processed by Apple according to your Apple Account location, settings, and selected services.
14. Changes
We may update this policy when features, legal requirements, or data practices change. The current version will be published at https://lersso.com/privacy. The effective date above indicates the latest update.
